4 AM Thoughts | Just Me, Being Real
It’s 4 AM. I don’t even know why I’m writing this. There’s no big reason or grand plan. I just feel like talking. About who I really am as a woman. What I want. What I manifest. And maybe all the random things that spin in my head when the world is quiet. I don’t even know where this is going. But I just want to share.
So yeah, let me start with my childhood.
As many of you already know, I grew up in a small village. When I was really young, I had this curiosity about travel. I liked the idea of it. But honestly, I didn’t get to go anywhere much. So when people ask me where all I’ve been, I don’t really have much to say. That love for travel never got to bloom properly. And maybe that’s why I don’t feel deeply attached to it. But now? Now that I’m older, I do feel like I need it. Just to go somewhere, breathe something different, refresh my mind. But the circumstances don’t really make that easy right now.
Coming from a middle-class family, I didn’t grow up with a lot of cravings for things. Or maybe I convinced myself not to. But okay, let me be honest. I did have moments where I wished I had beautiful clothes. Not branded ones or anything too fancy. Just outfits that felt like they belonged to me. But the reality is, even after I started earning, I never really spent much on myself. Maybe that’s what happens when responsibilities start growing. Even the little wishes feel like too much sometimes. I don’t know. It is what it is.
As a girl, I always wanted those deep, strong female friendships. For the longest time, I didn’t have any. But now? I have my girls. And I love them deeply. Still, trust issues linger in the background. They always have. But that doesn’t stop me from loving them hard.
Talking about the future…
I’ve never really had some huge ambition or dream. I wasn’t the kind of kid who said, I want to be a doctor or a teacher. I just went with the flow. Somewhere along the way, I found myself interested in IT, and that’s the direction I took. And honestly? I’m glad I did. I actually enjoy it. If someone were to ask me where I see myself in ten years, I’d probably just smile. I don’t know. But what I do know is that… I’ll be successful. In my own way, on my own terms.
Now let’s talk about lifestyle.
I’ve always wanted to live a minimal life. A simple, peaceful life. Not filled with noise or luxury. Just quiet, with enough to be comfortable and happy. I’ve never really had big material dreams. All I truly want is a life filled with peace, a little space to breathe, and people who feel like home.
When it comes to surroundings, I prefer being on my own. I genuinely enjoy living alone. I like my space, my freedom, my silence. But yeah, when I start missing someone, I miss them deeply. And when I finally get to be with them again, that feeling is something else. Being with family is a whole different warmth. I absolutely love it. But if I were to live with friends or a partner, there would be more struggles, sure. But there’d be laughter too. Still, I always find myself dreaming of a quiet, simple life. That’s what I really want.
Now if we talk about my free time… I love cleaning. I love cooking. I love gaming. But right now, I feel like all those little joys have been clouded by other thoughts and distractions. Life feels a bit noisy in my head. But one thing remains the same: whether I’m sad or happy, I clean. It gives me a strange sense of peace. It makes me feel like I’ve got control over something. So yeah, cleaning is my therapy.
And relationships…
I’m not asking for a lot. I’ve always dreamed of someone who’s loyal, genuine, and family-oriented. Someone who is soft, patient, and simple like me. I’ve longed for someone like that because I haven’t really found it in my past relationships.
I’m not someone who falls for love that comes with price tags.
I love flowers I don’t have to ask for.
I love dates that I don’t have to plan.
I love reassurance. I love love letters, sticky notes, long texts, random updates.
I love being in your stories and your posts. I love being shown off with pride.
I love acts of service. I love physical touch. I love quality time.
I love little surprises.
I love being loved loudly.
Is that too much to ask for? I don’t know. Maybe. But that’s just how I am.
When I trust someone, I give them my time, my attention, my heart. And in return, I only want the same. Not money. Not material gifts. Just presence, patience, commitment, love. Even if you don’t get me a perfect bouquet, if you notice a little branch with leaves and offer it to me just to make me smile, that means everything. It’s the heart behind it. The effort. That’s what I fall for. Maybe it sounds dramatic. Maybe it’s a little too much. But I’ve accepted it. This is me.
Now let’s talk about family.
This one’s heavy. Because I don’t even know if my family is truly happy. I try to make them happy. I really do. But with Chaachan gone, there’s this emptiness. A constant, unspoken void that never really leaves.
And Amma… where do I begin? She carries so much pain inside her. And yet, she keeps going. Strong. Silent. She lives through so much, and I can see it. I don’t have huge dreams or goals in life. But if there’s one wish I hold onto tightly, it’s this: I just want to take care of my family. I want to make them happy. I want to see them smile without worries. That’s my dream. That’s my everything.
Sometimes I cry thinking about all this. So I’ll stop here.
I just want everyone to be happy. That’s all.
Love you all.
